About Fairstone Airedales

Ferris and Chuck Stone have been breeding and showing champion Airedale Terriers since 2014. Ferris owns and operates a high end women’s clothing boutique, Three  Ferrises, in Ridgeway, Ontario. Chuck is a retired high school English teacher and  Presbyterian minister.

Ferris’s experience with Airedales extends over decades. She grew up with Airedales -  all of whom were named “Judd.” After marriage and three small children, in 1997 she and  Chuck adopted a refuge Airedale and once again were entranced by the breed. By  2014 they were actively entering their girl Sage in conformation competition; Sage went  on to earn her Grand Championships in both the U.S. and Canada, earning recognition and awards at such places as the Canadian National Specialty, the U.S. National Show,  Montgomery Weekend, and others.

PepsiPlease quickly earned her Canadian Championship in 2021 in a few short  weekends. Her litter from a breeding with  Westchester Kennels’ “Jack” in 2022 produced eleven beautiful puppies, two of  whom have achieved their Canadian Championships. Other litter mates have excelled in trail hiking, barn hunting (ratting), water activities, obedience, and so on.

Seeing the great success of the 2022 litter, this year’s breeding is also with Jack.  Another wonderful group of puppies will be ready to go to new homes in early October 2024.

The Fairstone Airedales approach to producing quality Airedales is not that of an  impersonal kennel; instead, each puppy is home raised and part of daily family life in the  house, being socialized individually all day, every day. Our dogs and puppies are a  valuable and essential part of our lives.
